Manufactured by Josef Prusa
Prusa wasn't satisfied with the quality of filaments on the market. So the Czech company decided to manufacture its own! Prusa Research is the only 3D printer manufacturer with its own filament production.
Premium-quality material and rigorous testing
The entire manufacturing process is meticulously monitored and tested – string diameter, color consistency, and mechanical properties – to ensure that every spool is perfect.
±0.02 mm guaranteed manufacturing precision
Prusa believes that the industry standard of 0.05 mm isn't sufficient for perfect 3D printing. Instead, Prusa guarantees ±0.02 mm precision (±0.03 for blends) and highly consistent colors in Prusament filaments.

About PLA
PLA is the easiest material to print. It is inexpensive and suitable for beginners and advanced users alike. It is capable of printing detailed models, figures, and quick prototypes that do not require increased mechanical, chemical, or temperature resistance.
PLA is the most widely used filament, known for its great appearance and ease of printing. It is an excellent choice for large objects because of its low thermal expansion, which results in minimal warping. At the same time, its low melting point also makes it suitable for small parts.
While PLA isn't as tough and durable as some other modern materials, its versatility makes it ideal for a range of applications, including large objects, miniatures, concept models, and prototypes that don't require extreme durability.
